Black Sabbath play The Warfield, San Francisco

11/6, Russell Brand – controversial British comedian (remember his gig as host of the MTV Video Music Awards with a certain Ms Spears?) makes his way back to the US. Performing at Cobb’sComedy Club, tickets are available from Live Nation.

11/7, Kapakahi – these local bay-side musos invite you to party hardy to their fusion rock at city bar El Rincon. A seemless blend of reggae, hip hop and latin vibes, these groovy dudes are well worth getting to know.

11/14 & 15, The Breeders – it does not get more rock n’ roll than watching these girls tear up the stage. Check them out at Slim’s for just $27.

11/15, Joe Satriani  promoting his new album, Joe himself says, "People have heard my bluesy side, my metal side and my techno side. I guess this is my ROCKIN' side." Check him out at The Warfield. Tickets are between $37.50-$55 from AEG Live.

11/17, Alanis Morrisette – the queen of cool makes her way to The Paramount Theatre in Oakland. Tickets are from $40-$65 from Ticketmaster.

11/18, Blues Traveler – Playing the iconic Fillmore, watch these legends rock the stage for just $27.50. Tickets from Live Nation.

11/20, Angus & Julia Stone – do yourself a favor and check out these Aussie unknowns at Hotel Utah, San Francisco. Not heavy, but so cool, tickets are available from Hotel Utah.

11/22 & 23, Cheech and Chong Light Up America Tour - Thirty years on, and after releasing classic films like "Up in Smoke," the legends are back on-stage once again. Check them out at the Berkeley Community Theatre and Nob Hill Masonic Center. Tickets are between $40-$60 from Ticketmaster.

12/02 & 12/04, ACDC – Aussie rock Gods ACDC will tear up Oracle Arena in early December. Tickets are $90 from Ticketmaster.

12/02, Bryan Adams – watch Adams rock his ‘first real six-string’ at The Palace of Fine Arts. Tickets range from $50-$125 from Ticketmaster.

12/03, Oasis – those British bad boys are back at The Oracle Arena in Oakland. Tickets from $38-$67 from Ticketmaster.

12/03, Australian Pink Floyd – known as one of the best tribute bands worldwide, this show pretty close to the real thing. Presented by 107.7 The Bone, head down to the Fillmore. Tickets are available from Live Nation.

12/11, Death Cab for Cutie – heading a stellar lineup including Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Bloc Party and Jack’s Mannequin, Death Cab will play the Live 105 Not So Silent Night gig at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Tickets from $32.50-$125 from Ticketmaster.

12/12, Nine Inch Nails – the Lights In The Sky Over North America tour hits NorCal at ARCO Arena in Sacramento. Tickets are $38-$58 on Ticketmaster.

12/15, 16 & 18, The Black Crowes – nothing beats seeing these guys live, especially at the Fillmore. Tickets are $50 from Ticketmaster.

12/20, Metallica – what a way to end 08 – check out these rock legends at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Tickets from $62-$84 from Ticketmaster.
