Blind Melon has regained sight and it's set on the future.

When former lead singer Shannon Hoon, passed away from a drug overdose in 1995, it marked the end of an era for 90s rock-grunge Gods, Blind Melon. An attempt to find a replacement for Hoon was abandoned, and the group officially went separate ways.

That was until 2006, when singer/songwriter Travis Warren (himself a huge Blind Melon fan) asked Christopher Thorn and Brad Smith to produce a few tracks for him. Whilst always careful not to overshadow Hoon’s memory, Warren’s voice uncannily resembles that of the former lead, and with Rodgers Stevens and Glen Graham, Blind Melon once again took center stage, reminding fans just exactly why the band was, and still is, top of the game.

Having released a new album in April 08, Blind Melon will be back to rock your socks off at San Francisco’s The Independent on Tuesday October 21.
