
The year of 2009 is coming to a close and the PlayStation 3 certainly saw a lot of awesome exclusive titles see release over the course of the past year. Whether you were a first-person shooting fan, action fan, or RPG player, there was a title for you. With so many multiplatform titles being released every month, sometimes exclusive titles get forgotten. With the holiday season upon us, you'll find yourself wanting to catch-up on all those missed titles. Below, you'll find the top five PS3 exclusive titles you should purchase before 2010 falls upon us. Before commencing your holiday shopping for your PS3 owner, you should first see if they own any of the following titles. If one of these titles is missing from their collection, then you should definitely head to your local retailed and purchase it. (List is no particular order.)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Arguably the top contender for the 2009 Game of the Year, Naughty Dog crafted pure gold when they developed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Whether the historical storyline, realistic environments, addicting multiplayer, or just the amazing puzzles, platforming, and shooting sequences capture your attention, this is a great game that all PS3 owners should experience. Allowing gamers to live out an Indiana Jones movie, gamers of all tastes will be captivated by the world of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time – Delivering a Pixar level experience, A Crack in Time is a game for all gamers to enjoy. With a cartoony art style, fun platforming selections, and tons of amazing weapons in your arsenal, gamers of all ages will find enjoyment in this wonderfully crafted game. The mix of action/adventure gameplay with space flying missions and platform based worlds, you’ll find yourself exploring numerous planets trying to collect all the items the game offers in order to upgrade your weapons and spaceship.
Demon’s Souls – One of the few RPG titles that saw release this year on the PS3, Demon’s Souls is unlike anything out there, currently. With high difficulty, tons of dungeons to explore and numerous bosses to vanquish, Demon’s Souls will keep you playing for quite a long time. Utilizing a unique online system too, other players will also take part in your quest. Offering some impressive graphics, Demon’s Souls is a game you’ll savor for months to come.
inFamous – inFamous was a bit of a wildcard title when it released earlier this year. Packed with an Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer beta, many bought the game simply to gain access to the beta – much like many did with Crackdown and the Halo 3 demo – but the players of the inFamous found a truly fun and awesome experience. With the options of being good or evil, you have to decide how you’ll rule a city in chaos. You can either be the savior for the people, or you can be the harbinger of death. With tons of side-missions and many moral choices needed to be made, inFamous is a one-of-a-kind experience that you should experience.
Killzone 2 – A graphical marvel and an unprecedented FPS experience. Killzone 2 took the world to new heights with the graphical presentation it delivered when it launched earlier this year. With many concerns surrounding the title, the game surely did impress many. With lush battlefields and awesome weapons, the war against the Helghast never looked better or more realistic.
