With the NPD sales report just around the corner, all the major analyst firms are now releasing their predictions for the month. With Uncharted 2 currently predicted as October best seller, Sony has plenty to be happy about on the software front. Wedbush and EEDAR have also released their October predictions for hardware.

EEDAR:
Wii - 635K
PS3 - 320K
360 - 280K

Wedbush:
Wii - 550K
PS3 - 380K
360 - 340K

The Nintendo is expected to be the top selling console for the month of October, followed by the Sony PS3 in second, and the Microsoft Xbox 360 in third. With the Wii receiving a price cut several weeks ago, a sales surge is expected to continue this holiday. Of course, we’ll have to see how close the sale figures really are later this week. It should be interesting to see if Uncharted 2: Among Thieves gave the PS3 any boost in sales for the month.
