You can hardly hear the name Cosmopolitan without thinking of Carrie and the girls of “Sex and
The City”. I am also willing to bet, Farrah put away a couple Cosmo's in her day.
No one seems to be quite sure of the origin. Some say it came from an area in Provincetown , Massachusetts.
In his book “The Martini” Barnaby Conrad referred to it as a Stealth Martini. It did have a resurgence at the Fern Bars of the 70s. That was also in Farrah's hey day.
You could not turn your head without her image being somewhere. It has been said, thousands of times, "90% of the teenage boys in America slept with Farrah..." (Oh come on...on their bedroom wall of coarse). Her beauty, talent, & strength will truly be missed.
So let's raise our glasses and in a toast to Farrah & say goodbye beautiful lady, you will be missed.
