Well, once again the kids return to school and the summer fun has come to a close.
In review of the wonderful summer activities that Phoenix had to offer:
First- ARIZONA SCIENCE CENTER was an awesome adventure. The entire family exploring everything for the entire day. With the newest exhibit; LEGO - CASTLE ADVENTURE it was unforgetable! There were dragons and Knights in Armor, Castles and Kings - and all made from LEGO building blocks! The kids will love it (even Big kids!) The completion of the Dorrance Planetarium opens new doors to space and the way that it can be seen from a unique perspective.
Next, Lake Pleasant Recreation Park just outside of Peoria. The sun, the lake, the memories. Oh yes, and the HEAT. Exhaustion comes on quickly, after that comes dehydration. NEVER NEVER forget the fluids on any outdoor adventure here in the desert. Hiking is great exercise and wonderful photo ops arise frequently. Local fun that costs very little.
Finally, MONSTER JAM ! Talk about an awesome and loud blast! Performing at the new University of Phoenix/Cardinals Stadium in Glendale the competition was fierce. But, after the dust and smoke dispersed, the race winner was Maximum Destruction, and the Freestyle winner was Grave Digger. What a show! An excellent ending to a summer of great memories!
