Starbucks is often targeted as a Big Bad Company, out to ruin your health, drain your wallet, and drive independent coffee houses out of business. However, they deserve some credit for stepping up to the plate once in a while, our recent rash of fires being a prime example.
Today through September 15, Starbucks and AT&T are offering unlimited free Wi-Fi access at 19 Starbucks locations (see list below) in an effort to help those displaced by the wildfires stay connected.
They're also donating coffee to fire staging areas and Red Cross evacuation centers.
That's gotta be a heck of a lot of coffee.
Bravo, Starbucks.
