In 1978, people flocked to theatres so they watch Sandy (Olivia Newton John) become "hopelessly devoted" to Danny Zuko (John Travolta), the proverbial Bad Boy in the classic movie musical, Grease. According to IMDB.com,
For a time, [Grease] was the third highest grossing movie of all time behind only Jaws (1975) and Star Wars (1977).”
Many scenes in Grease were shot in the City of Angels. If you're in the mood to sip and sightsee, below are the addresses of those locations and coffee joints nearby. In fact, this is the latest in the Coffee Meets the Movies series which direct you to places for coffee that happen to be near film locations, like where they shot The Karate Kid, Ghostbusters, and Ocean's Eleven, to name a few.
As you might recall, Sandy and Danny attended the same school, Rydell High, where if you couldn't be an athlete, you could at least be an athletic supporter.
Rydell High was actually a combination of three schools, and "Thunder Road" wasn't a road, but a concrete riverbed.

So, slick back that hair (or put it in a spunky ponytail) and get going. Grease is the word!
