Danish heavy metal quartet Volbeat are set to open for Metallica at HSBC Arena on Tuesday, November 10.
Volbeat has been captivating European audiences since October 2001, offering a unique blend of heavy metal, early rock 'n' roll, and rockabilly. The band cites the 1950's, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley as major influences. Volbeat has released three albums overseas: The Strength / The Sound / The Songs (2005), Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil (2007), Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (2008) and one DVD: Live: Sold Out!.
Volbeat's ability to remain original and ubiquitous with each release has not only set them apart from the pack, it provided them with the opportunity to open for Metallica in Denmark and Megadeath in Finland.
In May 2009, Volbeat hit the United States to support Nightwish. North American fans were granted access to Volbeat's entire catalog last month when The Strength / The Sound / The Songs joined previously issued Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil in U.S. and Canada retail outlets. Volbeat made their return to North America earlier this fall in support of their most recent release Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood. The heavy metal quartet are currently supporting Metallica and Lamb of God on the Death Magnetic tour through mid-December.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. show featuring Volbeat, Lamb of God, and Metallica are $52 (Reserved) and $72 (General Admission Floor and Reserved). There is a four ticket limit per person. Tickets are avaliable through the HSBC Arena Box Office and tickets.com. For more information, or to charge by phone, call (888)-223-6000.
