The search for a downed rescue helicopter in New Mexico has ended with the discovery that both the pilot and the rescued hiker are dead, the AP reports. The helicopter crashed Tuesday night while rescuing the hiker from a snowy mountainside. The lone survivor, a state police officer, left the crash site Wednesday morning to get help and was found by rescuers later that day. He is now in the hospital with serious leg injuries.
