Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi

If you've ever talked about your child's bowel movements over dinner, you're probably already familiar with the popular children's book, Everyone Poops. But did you know that it was published in La Jolla?

Everyone Poops, along with All About Scabs, Breasts, The Gas We Pass, Contemplating Your Bellybutton and The Holes in Your Nose, were published over 15 years ago, when Kane/Miller Book Publishers was run by the two siblings who founded the company.

The books in the My Body Science series make great gifts for new parents, as over-the-hill gag gifts or for those seriously interested in answering their children's questions in a matter-of-fact manner.

While the titles and illustrations might not appeal to everyone, there's not much to say about the facts that can be discovered inside. From teaching children about babies (Contemplating Your Bellybutton), breastfeeding (Breasts) and explaining why it's not a good idea to stick things inside our noses (or other holes in our body - The Holes in Your Nose), this series covers everything, from head to toe.
