It was an only-in-Las-Vegas moment: a red carpet wedding at the 11th Annual CineVegas Film Festival. To promote the world premiere of Rania Ajami’s Asylum Seekers, the Chippendales dancers served as groomsmen and the Sin City Girls as bridesmaids. Even Smokey Robinson’s new Strip singers Human Nature showed up with the gorgeous Fantasy Girls from the Luxor.

Day 4 of CineVegas yesterday saw three other world-premiere screenings: Robert Saitzyk’s Godspeed and Patrick Hoelck’s Mercy, which featured a red carpet with Scott Caan, James Caan, Wendy Glenn, Alexie Gilmore, John Boyd, Troy Garity and Erika Christensen. Premiering in the Area 52 section was Modus Operandi with an appearance by the film’s star Danny Trejo.

Enjoy our photo gallery with our contributing photographer Erik Kabik’s shots and also some candids from my own digital camera!

Last night after James Caan and son Scott Caan had won applause for Mercy, there was a dive-in screening of The Beatles animated classic Yellow Submarine at Mandalay Bay Beach. Moviegoers sat on the sand and swam in the water while watching the psychedelic battle against the Blue Meanies in Pepperland! Afterward, the party moved upstairs to Moorea Beach Club.

Today at CineVegas, you can check out the world premiere of Where Da Girls At, the film made by CineVegas Clubhouse and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas. Cast members of Palazzo musical Jersey Boys, who helped mentor the youths on the film, are scheduled to attend. Other don’t-miss events include a screening of Lookin’ to Get Out, a conversation with Marquee Award honoree and legendary actor Jon Voight, and The Loveless, preceded by a conversation with Vanguard Actor Award honoree Willem Dafoe. Both will be honored in an awards reception at Rain in the Palms this afternoon.

Be sure to check out our interviews to be posted tomorrow with Jon Voight, James Caan and Scott Caan as we wrap up Day 5 of CineVegas, and then tomorrow night, I get presented with my star by George Maloof and Johnny Brenden on the Walk of Fame at the Brenden Theatres in the Palms.
