Georgetown University is already underway preparing for Homecoming 2009.  The university says they have scheduled

    “* The traditional pre-game tailgate party
    * The Homecoming football game against the Howard University Bison
    * Chimes Night
    * The Mr. Georgetown Pageant
    * Hoya Homecoming BINGO
    * Student group-sponsored events
    * The annual 5K Hilltop Challenge
    * Community service”

The homecoming game against Howard will be September 26.  Howard was one of two teams the Hoyas beat last year, so there’s some reason to believe that Georgetown will be able to celebrate a homecoming win this season.

Registration for homecoming will begin in August.

Georgetown University will be looking to improve upon its most successful homecoming ever; last year more than 5,000 turned out to bleed blue and grey.
