Fans wanting to watch the red carpet for the official Los Angeles premiere of Michael Jackson's This Is It can catch it live via webcast at 4:30 p.m. today.

The webcast will be streamed at www.ThisIsIt-Movie.com and www.crackle.com and viewers will be able to comment and discuss the event during the live coverage. The webcast will be streamed in the U.S. and around the world.

Some of those planning to hit today's red carpet include Adam Lambert, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Ashley Tisdale, Berry Gordy, Mike Tyson, Neil Patrick Harris, Ola Ray (Thriller), P. Diddy, Paula Abdul, Paris Hilton, Reverand Al Sharpton, Smokey Robinson and Snoop Dogg, among many others.

This Is It has been a hot ticket, selling out shows all over the world through early online sales. The film, directed by Kenny Ortega, is culled together from footage shot during rehearsals for what was to be Jackson's last concert tour at London's O2 Arena. Ortega was the creative partner and director of the stage show. The King of Pop died June 25 at the age of 50.

Covering the months from March through June, 2009, fans will get a chance to go behind the scenes of Jackson's show as he developed, created and rehearsed for his sold-out concerts. It is the last documentation of the notoriously meticulous performer.

The film opens worldwide Wednesday.
