Most movies with lots of spectacular visual effects are best seen on the big screen at a movie theater. Some, however, still translate well to DVD and your home TV screen because of great storytelling, acting and directing. Such is the case with “Iron Man,” which some considered a “lower-level” superhero in the Marvel Comics stable.
But with the love for the character, and the skill to pull it off, director Jon Favreau updates the not-so-familiar franchise with commercial success akin to such collective consciousness icons as “Batman” and “Superman”.
If you get the 2-disc special edition, there are tons of "behind-the-scenes" special features.
