October 28th is a big day for job seekers in Birmingham Alabama. There’s a freebie event sponsored by the local chapter, BSHRM, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Career Services for all job seekers needing help with resumes, interviewing skills, social media help and even dressing for success.

The BSHRM Community Relations Committee is pleased to announce an upcoming HR event open to the public and at no cost!! In light of the current job market, BSHRM has partnered with UAB Career Services to put together a day and night filled with sessions and information to help the unemployed survive the job search process. The Job Search Skills Camp is not a job fair, but an occasion where people can get together to gain “immunity” against the harsh realities of looking for a job and “form alliances” to conduct a successful job search.
What: Job Search Skills Camp
When: Wednesday October 28th
Time and Place: 8am – 4pm Daytime Skills Camp at UAB’s Hill University Center
PLUS 5:00pm – 9pm Evening Networking at UAB’s Bartow Arena’s Green and Gold Room
