Kim Kardashian keeps it cool in suede boots for summer.

Summer is the season for exposed toes.  Everyone’s looking for the hottest sandals, wedges, and strappy heels in which to parade that perfect pedicure around town.  But some style-savvy ladies are going the road less traveled and investing in a season-bending trend:  the summer boot.

Whether donned with swiss-dotted sundresses and flowing skirts, or rocked with distressed denim shorts and linen rompers, summer boots are a bold style choice for the steamy summer months.

I’m a believer in wearing whatever you feel expresses you best, but as we all know, some fashions just plain fall short of stylishness.  I tend to be on the fence with the concept of hot-weather boots.  They can look out of place in 90-plus degree temperatures, but if nothing else, they are a fashion-forward way to hide those toes when your pedicure is less than fresh.

What do you think?  Are summer boots a do or a don’t?
