Now you can support breast cancer awareness, save the environment, shop for groceries, and stay stylish all at once.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,  and Safeway is getting involved by offering canvas shopping bags at the checkout aisle.  The bags are black with pink straps and features the pink ribbon design alongside the phrase "support the cause."  These bags are a steal at $1.99, and one dollar from each bag goes toward local breast cancer research and awareness projects.

The bags are not only charitable, but environmentally conscious.  They can be used in place of paper or plastic shopping bags, cutting down on bulk and environmental waste. They're durable and re-useable, so you can take them with you to Safeway every week and use them as weekend totes in between grocery visits.

Charitable, good for the environment, cute and useful.  What more can you ask for?
