Gospel Music Association Remains Open Recently, rumors circulated that the Nashville-based Gospel Music Association (GMA) was closing its doors after its recent Concert of the Decade to save the GMA. The rumors have been debunked by the GMA which continues to reorganize and to search for creative ways to remain solvent, serving the gospel music community with activities like the Dove Awards and educational/training programs. Now GMA is holding an online auction. Gospel Music Association Auction In its ongoing efforts to raise funds to keep the organization running, the Gospel Music Association has announced a special online auction offering one-of-a-kind memorabilia, autographed CDs and promotional items along with unique VIP experiences from some of your favorite Christian artists and authors. GMA Auction Includes Items Signed by Dolly Parton, Michael W. Smith, Point of Grace, Mark Schultz, BarlowGirl, POD, Chris Rice, Derek Webb, and more The GMA auction is now live and features items such as having your name used in an upcoming Karen Kingsbury novel, a Christmas coffee with gospel legend Amy Grant (which currently has the most bids and is already at $500), a chance to record in the studio with Michael W. Smith, instruments autographed by MercyMe and DeGarmo & Key, and many other tour books, CDs, posters and other products signed by artists like Dolly Parton, Point of Grace, Mark Schultz, BarlowGirl, POD, The Afters, Phil Wickham, Decyfer Down, Chris Rice, Derek Webb, Caedmons Call, Disciple, Sara Groves, VOTA and more. Prices ranged from $20 - $2,500 on November 4.
