No but seriously. Haven’t you ever wondered where REAL witches go on Halloween? And how real witches celebrate Halloween?
They sing and dance. They clasp hands together and wind around in a snake-like dance called the spiral ritual. They chant. They light candles and place skulls, pumpkins, and incense on alters. Some even wear pointy hats, also known as conical hats. And they communicate with the dead, of course.
Thousands of REAL Witches and Pagans will gather on Halloween at Reclaiming’s 30th Spiral Dance Ritual at Kezar Pavilion to celebrate Samhain.
Samhain is the technical witch term for Halloween. It is pronounced sow-in as in “cow.” Samhain is the Witches’ New Year when “the veil is thin that divides
the worlds, the seen from the unseen, the day to day from the mysteries.”
It is believed that the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest, meaning it is the easiest time of year to communicate with the deceased.
If you choose to attend the Spiral Dance Ritual please keep in mind that this is a very sacred religious ceremony. Please no drugs or alcohol.
