Light is spiritual synonym for love. Everyone has love within, even if it seems hard to see or notice. Even the people who are grumpy, moody, or unkind still are loving underneath. Chances are that they are having a bad day or just responding to not feeling loved in their own life. Perhaps, they need a hug or some love. Why not give others the benefit of the doubt?

Lately, I challenge myself to see the love within everyone and every situation. It's not always easy. I'm a work in progress with it. I assume that everyone is doing the best that they can in any given moment. So, I've learned not to take things personally. I let things roll off me like water on high tech fabric. It feels better to not get emotionally involved in others' drama or bad moods.

I think of others' negative moods or energy similar to the weather. One day it is sunny. Sunny weather makes me very happy. Other days, it might be gloomy and rainy. I still can be happy when it is gloomy or rainy outside. Likewise, I don't have to lower my vibration when I'm around negative or unhappy people. I can put up my umbrella literally or figuratively when handling rain or bad moods.

My umbrella energetically is a shield I use daily. It varies from day to day, but the main thing is my intention. I have a powerful intention to only attract loving energies, people, and situations into my life. This makes it very clear for me. When I don't hear from someone, I don't take it personally any more. Or, if I don't connect with a new person, I trust the universe is just hearing my desire for only loving people in my world.

Some argue that there are people who are never loving. This is a disempowering belief in my book. If you believe that people can't change, what does that say about your ability to change? Others are just mirroring to you who you are within. This is interesting food for thought.

I find myself always affirming, "The world is a friendly place." This is akin to Albert Einstein's idea that the most important decision you make is whether you believe that you live in a hostile or a friendly world. As I affirm that the world is friendly, this is what I create.
