The Super Bowl is a marketing company's delight. Each year the top dogs in the industry are given the chance to really "wow" the audience with witty scenarios and outrageous actors. The big clients buy commercial time, but the ad agency is the one that gets to play with the big Super Bowl ad budgets. Some agencies garner their client a powerful marketing message, and some die a horrible death as the worst money the company could have spent. This year however, few ads fell below what we should expect from the big dogs.
One ad that caught our attention when it aired last night was this simple, witty commercial for Google. It's a sweet, practical look at how Google has become such a big part of life. Did anyone else say "Awww..."? Take a look and tell us what you think.
