What now?

Somehow this pop starlet always manages to make the headlines. And this time the single girl is not only in hot water with fans, but apparantly has managed to get the Australian government involved.

Britney's latest fiasco? While on tour, the blonde known for stirring things up was caught lip-syncing her songs during an Australian performance. Perturbed fans walked out after only a few songs and made such a outburst that the government has stepped in.

Oh Brit, what did you do?

Authorities are considering a ban on such deceitful tactics as lip syncing at one's concert! Performers would be required to tell fans that their music will not be performed live and even print the information on concert tickets.

Hmmm...

Britney isn't the only one to have fans boiling at a taped performance. Other celebrities including Miley Cyrus, 50 Cent, and Ashlee Simpson have also been "booed" for such outrageous behavior.

But the fact is, some celebrities just don't stack up to the public image. Pitch manipulation, keying up background music, and re-doing lines to perfection can really do wonders for selling albums. But even for those who can throw out stellar vocals any time, any place, do you really think it's possible to sing and break out intricate dance moves that this and other pop stars are known for? Sometimes it's just not possible.

So take your pick. Should Britney do away with the choreography and get back to pure vocals on stage, or is the trade-off worth it?
