The preseason is over. It's time to see what the Philadelphia 76ers officially can do.On Wednesday, the Sixers travel to Orlando to face the NBA runner-up Magic on Opening Night before returning home Friday to begin their home schedule against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Are they ready?

Well, they finished the preseason at 5-3. Does that mean anything? No.

But first-year coach Eddie Jordan deserves some time to see if his Princeton-style offense will be a good fit. It's up to Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand, Samuel Dalembert, Lou Williams, Thaddeus Young and the rest of the Sixers to execute that offense. It's up to them to play defense.

We"ll find out for real on Wednesday if the Sixers are ready to take the next step.

I'm not convinced because the nucleus of the team is virtually the same.

I see a 40-win team.

Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know why.
