Water is essential for our bodies, and essential for healthy living. It is suggested that each person consume eight glasses of water a day. That is 64 ounces of water each day. The best way to monitor water intake is to monitor urine output. Urine should be straw colored with no odor. If the urine is a dark yellow, tea colored, or has a strong odor more water should be consumed.
