F.A.S.T. signs of a stroke have helped people recover quickly. F.A.S.T. is an acronym to help remember the three most telling signs of a stroke. If any of these signs occur the best course of action is to call 911 immediately

F …is for facial drooping. If one side of a persons face is lower than the other side. If one side of their mouth is turned down, or possibly their eye looks “lazy”, it is facial drooping.

A …is for arm. A person my complain that their arm just does not feel right. If they put both arms out in front of them one will hang lower, or be hard to lift and control.

S …is for speech. The speech may be slurred or just not make any sense. The words may be out of order.

T …is for time. If someone you are with exhibits any of the previous symptoms it is time to call 911.

F.A.S.T. can save lives. Quick response will help a person have a complete recovery without symptoms.
