NYC Marathon winner Meb Keflezighi, 2009.
Alanis Morrisette,35, ran the New York City Marathon in a respectable 4:28:45. Edward Norton, 40, finished in 3:48:01. Both stars ran for African based charities.
Questions are being raised about the American background of Meb Keflezighi, who immigrated to the U.S. and obtained citizenship as a young child. Since he was not born in the United States, some have questioned his status as an American. Lauded as the first American to win the NYC Marathon since 1982, some have downplayed this accomplishment.
