You are likely reading this and scratching your head. What is punkin chunkin?
Punkin Chunkin is where medieval weaponry, artillery know-how and good old-fashioned fun meet in competition the week after Halloween.

It's a competition where competitors construct devices that hurl and shoot pumpkins for distance traveled.
Air cannons and trebuchets are the common devicesbuilt and used by the competitors.

There are many different events, bands, and food. Too much info to list on this site.

Harley Davidson of Seaford even has a special offering if you bring 5 non-perishable items to their trailer at the chunk.

For a complete listing of FAQ's, click here. There are accomodations in the area as this is a multi-day event. 

The event costs $9 pp/ under age 10 are free. No multi-day tickets or plans are available.
Also there is a $2 per car parking fee. Trailers and oversize vehicles cost more.

This promises to be a fun event, just please leave your pets at home. Most likely for safety reasons.

Located in Bridgeville, Delaware this is not a bad commute for a fun and decidedly different weekend daytrip.
