Field Hospital, St. Mihiel Sector, September 1918

Ninety years ago today the guns fell silent in the war that was supposed to end all wars.  November 11 has been remembered since as the day to honor all those who have served our country.

Denver's Weather Examiner, Tony Hake, wrote a great post this morning honoring and thanking our veterans that says it all.

Weatherwise, it will be an average November day for extraordinary people.

It is scandalous how our veterans have been treated at times. They deserve better. On a positive note, a special shout-out  this Veterans Day to the doctors, nurses, dieticians, lab techs, rehabilitation specialists and other healtcare professionals at Denver's Veterans Affairs Hospital at 1055 Clermont Street who are trying to give veterans the care they deserve.
