The Denver Housing Authority will be hosting the 2009 Home Ownership Fair on Saturday, June 13 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the PPA Center. That's just north of Invesco Field.

The folks at the fair will be assisting prospective home buyers. There are plenty of homes on the market here in Denver, so finding a house shouldn't be difficult, but finding the proper financing may be a challenge. Let's not do sub-primes anymore.

Current home owners can get help with refinancing. Finding a lender to return phone calls these days is tricky. They're terribly busy as rates may go sky-high soon. Maybe DHA knows the right people.

Housing counselors will be there to help those in delinquency or facing foreclosure. Probably the same people who answer the phones at the foreclosure hotline so they've had plenty of experience.

Maybe DHA will have some luck getting unsold homes off the market.
