Steampulp Publishing just announced the release of a free mini issue of Steampunk Tales.

For those of you not familiar, Steampunk Tales is a "first of its kind" electronic pulp-fiction magazine focusing on distribution via mobile devices. Emulating the style of the pulp adventure magazines of the 1920s and '30s, Steampunk Tales contains first-run, original fiction written by award-winning authors.

A full issue typically contains 10 short stories for $1.99USD on iPhone and Adobe Acrobat, and a bit more on the other platforms. Issue #2 delivered first-run authors including Jay Lake, Catherynne M. Valente, Phil Brucato, G. D. Falksen and more. Issue #2, due in mid-August, will contain original tales by David Wellington, Brenda Cooper, G. D. Falksen, SatyrPhil Brucato, Jillian Venters and many more.
