On October 11, 2009, Pressley, 34, of Cleveland, went to a house located on the block of E. 80th Street in Cleveland. The 41-year-old victim went outside of his parent's house to take the garbage out and saw Demetrius Pressley. As the victim was going back into the house, Demetrius Pressley fired 10 shots at the victim and into the house, hitting an inside wall, cabinet, and barely missing the victim's mother. The victim collapsed inside the house and was taken to the hospital.
Demetrius Pressley was also indicted for attacking a pregnant woman at a bus stop in Cleveland on October 6, 2009. This victim, 18-years-old, was waiting at a bus stop with her 2-year-old son, at East 92nd Street and Superior. Demetrius Pressley walked up to her and punched her twice in the face.
As she was trying to protect her son, he kicked her in the stomach. The victim was 8 months pregnant at the time. Her uncle, the 41-year-old victim from the October 11th incident, saw what was happening and pulled him off of her. She went to the hospital. Demetrius Pressley was arrested on October 16, 2009.
On January 14, 2009, Demetrius Pressley pleaded guilty to attempted murder, improper discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school, having weapons while under disability, and felonious assault. Presley faces a maximum of 31 years in prison.
Demetrius Pressley's sentencing is scheduled for 8:30 am in front of Judge Kathleen Ann Sutula.
