These headlines are not all that unusual in newspapers across the map. Reports of violent non-fatal victims of juvenile crime are juveniles as well and over half of those were know by juvenile. Approximately 1 in 15 who were adult victims were strangers, only 38 percent were 18 years old and over.

Most of reported crimes by juveniles such as sexual assaults, simple assaults, robberies and aggravated assaults were against someone younger than 18 years old. Of the victims that reported violent crimes by juveniles they reported the crime committed by multiple juveniles as opposed to a single offender.
