cutting coupons

It is a great money saver to clip coupons around the Holidays (and all year through). Here are come tips that will help you stay organized:

Clip your coupons the same time each week. Pick an evening that you have time to sit down and go through them. Sunday nights are a good time.

Be sure to sort your coupons to make it easier to find what you need. You can use a binder or even envelopes. I have a small accordion coupon holder that fits into my purse. I bought it for $1.00 at my local arts and crafts store.
You can pick any category to sort your coupons. Some categories to choose from are:
Dairy
Baking
Cans
Meats
Drinks
Children
Pasta/Soups
Bags/Wraps
Bathroom
Kitchen
Frozen
Other
You can get as specific as you like with your categories.

Stay current with your coupons. One night a month before you sit down to clip your coupons, go through the ones you have and throw away the expired coupons.

Other ways to obtain coupons:

Go online and print them.
Have a coupon swap with some friends.
Start a coupon train.

Coupon train:
Get abour 3 or 4 friends to join in. Start an envelope by filling it with coupons. Mail it to the first person. Let them take what they want and add new coupons. Keep it going!
