Internet Dating is not Like Ordering a
Pizza
is an indispensable tool for
online daters

Not so long ago, someone who admitted to looking for a date online was also looking to get laughed at. Trying to meet someone on the Web was reserved for losers, perverts, or maybe those geeky types that joined the Science Club in high school.

Well, those days are long gone, and internet dating has become both popular and common. But just like in the real world, looking for love online can have its obstacles. Maybe you're thinking about giving internet dating a try. Maybe you're online and wondering if you're ever going to find true love, or maybe just a response or two for your profile. What you need is some help from an expert.

Internet Dating Is Not Like Ordering a Pizza is just that help. Cherie Burbach has definitely done her homework. She went on over 60 coffee dates in just six months, and along the way, she has learned how to write an eye-catching profile and how to search dating sites effectively. She's also found the best ways to respond effectively, and how to handle the whole "date thing."

Burbach goes far beyond suggestions like "write a catchy title" and gets into specifics. There are chapters devoted to getting each part of your profile perfect - the headline, the photos, and the essay. She gives examples of both the right approach and the wrong approach, and even explains what is right and wrong with each.

Internet Dating Is Not Like Ordering a Pizza doesn't stop with creating the perfect profile. Burbach also talks about responding to profiles and answering the responses to your profile. There are chapters on dating safety, handling the first meeting, and online dating etiquette. She even devotes a chapter to the important question, are you ready to date?

Burbach covers all the bases, and does so with a style that's much more like sitting down with a friend than reading an advice book. Internet Dating Is Not Like Ordering a Pizza is aptly subtitled "How to write an eye-catching profile, search for, and meet the right person online." Anyone interested in online dating should give it a read.

Oh, and those 60 coffee dates Cherie went on, looking for love? She's now happily married. And yes, she met her husband online.
