The Bridgeport Tea Party was an awesome success!! It was amazing to see so many people gathered, despite the pouring rain, to speak out for what they believe!! People young and old came bearing signs that said things like: "Don't Bankrupt My Kids," "Freedom Not Socialism" and "T.E.A. Taxed Enough Already!"
Ann Coulter headlined the event (video below) and gave a great speech taking on Obama's plan for socializing healthcare. There was of course an attempted interruption when a local business began to blast some music ... but that was quickly taken care of. The crowd, on the other hand, loved Coulter and could not get enough. Many attendees swarmed around her after the speech and she was gracious enough to sign some autographs and pose for several photos.

Niger Innis, Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), introduced Coulter and gave a great talk about uniting and standing together against nationalized healthcare.
Also Lloyd Marcus sang some reworked songs dealing with the Obama Administration and Nancy Pelosi (video below).
Speakers and attendees also took on Senator Chris Dodd for his involvement in receiving a sweetheart deal from Countrywide. As well as Rep. Rosa DeLauro for her involvement in the healthcare plan and stimulus package.
All in all it was a great day in Bridgeport, CT! After Bridgeport the Tea Party Express was on its way down to Washington, D.C. to speak some more truth to power in one of the biggest rallies in recent memories!
