
The accused abductor of Jaycee Lee Dugard, Phillip Garrido, was arrested over three decades ago for the kidnap and rape of Katie Callaway Hall.
At the time, Garrido was a 25-year-old musician living on Market Street in Reno, Nev. Law enforcement discovered him holding Hall, then 25, in a small warehouse. Garrido was married to his first wife, Christine Garrido, at the time of the brutal attack.

In 1977, Garrido was sentenced to 50 years behind bars in a federal prison, but was released on parole after serving only 11 years for crimes against Hall.
The Reno Police Department recently released Garrido’s case file including an early photo of Garrido, Hall’s graphic statement to police, the original police report, and other pertinent case information. Read the case file below:
