Kings Island, an amusement park located in Mason, Ohio, about 24 miles north of Cincinnati, has apologized, and has removed a Halloween display that featured several dead celebrities as skeletons.
Former Tennessee Titans Steve McNair's murder scene was part of the display. The football player was killed by his mistress, Sahel Kazemi, in July, who then turned the gun on herself. McNair’s skeleton was holding a football helmet with a hole in it and another skeleton, meant to represent Kazemi, was dressed in red lingerie and draped across his lap.
Another skeleton depicting Michael Jackson was dressed in pajama pants, a long black wig, and was carrying a blanket-covered figure in his arms, according to ABC News.
Also displayed was a skeleton of pitchman Billy Mays, Farrah Fawcett, and a skeletal Heath Ledger as 'The Joker' with pill bottles surrounding him.
The park said the displays were all in fun, but after much public criticism, removed the skeletal features.
