Tennessee assistant medical examiner, Dr. Feng Li, has released information regarding the deaths of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, 36, and his alleged girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, 20.
The two were found shot to death on Saturday in McNair’s Nashville, Tenn. condominium. Reports surfaced that Kazemi purchased a gun on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Dr. Li told TMZ that preliminary tests indicate that the Kazemi fired the gun that killed both she and McNair. This confirms reports that the incident was a murder-suicide.
Dr. Li conducted autopsies on both bodies and said he made the determination from autopsy findings, the crime scene investigation, police interviews, and lab tests, which included a gunshot residue investigation.
Kazemi's funeral will take place on Friday in Jacksonville, Fl., while a public memorial in Nashville for McNair is also scheduled for Friday.
