Woman found dead with Steve McNair not his wife

Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that police were called to a residence and found McNair and a woman shot to death inside. Aaron said authorities don't yet know the circumstances of the shooting. (AP)
Former NFL quarterback, Steve McNair, 36, was found dead on Saturday from a gunshot wound to the head in a Nashville, Tenn. condominium.
An unidentified woman was also shot to death at the scene. The Post Chronicle is reporting it has been confirmed that the woman was not McNair’s wife, Mechelle McNair.
The circumstances surrounding the shootings are currently under investigation, according to Nashville police.
Police have not confirmed the condo was owned by McNair, but said he had been seen at the location before.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m., police towed a Lincoln Navigator and a Cadillac Escalade from the scene.
The Tennessean reports that a 2007 black Cadillac Escalade registered to McNair and a 20-year-old woman named Sahel Kazemi, was stopped by police two days ago. According to the publication, Kazemi was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test.
McNair retired in 2008 after 13 seasons with the NFL.
