On Tuesday, the effort to find Lindsey Baum doubled in the town of McCleary, Wash.
Lindsey was last seen by a neighbor between 9 and 9:30 p.m. on Friday night, about 3 blocks from her home.
Lindsey’s mother, Melissa Baum, who was at home with Lindsey’s 12-year-old brother, said she thought her daughter was walking home with a friend. The girl’s father lives in Tennessee.
On Tuesday, the Nancy Grace show reported that in May, Lindsey wrote on her MySpace page that she felt something bad was going to happen. She described nightmares she believed to be premonitions. This was close to the time her mother and father were going through a divorce, according to the report.
On Monday, Lindsey’s mother said she believes the girl was abducted while walking home. “Each hour that goes by, I am starting to get more and more panicky.”
Lindsey was going to spend the night at her friend’s home about six blocks from her own house, but her friend’s mother told the girls no.
Undersheriff Rick Scott said they will continue to search for Lindsey, in brushy areas, small ponds, and lakes, and are not ready to conclude the girl was abducted.
If you have information regarding Lindsey, call the Grays Harbor Sheriff Office at 1-866-915-8299 or send an email to soadmin@co.grays-harbor.wa.us.
