Jada Justice

A child’s body has been found in a field about 30 miles from the location where 2-year-old Jada Justice reportedly disappeared. Police believe the body may be that of the missing toddler.

Police discovered the body on Thursday afternoon in Otis, Indiana.

Jada disappeared on June 16 while being babysat by her cousin. The babysitter, Engelica Castillo, 18, claims she left Jada in her unlocked car at a gas station convenience store to run in for cigarettes and milk.

Around the time of Jada’s disappearance, the family expressed doubt in Castillo’s story.

Initially, Castillo was arrested for child neglect, but was released 48 hours later when prosecutors failed to file charges against her.

According to Fox News, Jada had been in the care of Castillo since June 8, while her 27-year-old mother, Melissa Swiontek was on a trip.

Earlier reports from Fox News indicate that Castillo’s mother had filed a police complaint against Jada’s father for intimidating the babysitter.
