Actor Randy Quaid and wife are no shows in court for fourth time
Actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, were arrested in Marfa, Texas on Sept. 24 on a warrant involving an unpaid hotel bill at San Ysidro Ranch, a Santa Barbara, Calif. hotel. The couple owes the establishment about $10,000.
Each posted bond of $20,000 shortly after being arrested, and were released by authorities.
On Oct. 29, the couple failed to show up in court in California, and on Monday, they again failed to appear—for the fourth time. This, despite the fact the couple reportedly requested their case be heard today.
The Santa Barbara prosecutor told TMZ he began preparing extradition papers for the couple after they were no shows last week.
TMZ reports that extradition to California from the couple’s home state of Texas, could take four weeks.
The charges against the Quaids include defrauding an innkeeper, burglary, and conspiracy.
