Chuck Brown will celebrate his official birthday party on Saturday
at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC

Washington, DC's legendary Chuck Brown is celebrating his 73rd birthday on Saturday and the District surprisingly found a birthday gift that is cool enough for the Godfather of Go-Go

Chuck Brown will be joining the likes of Duke Ellington and Walt Whitman on Saturday as the District will "symbolically designate" 7th Street, N.W., from T Street, N.W., to Florida Avenue, N.W., as Chuck Brown Way.

On Saturday at 4:00 you can join Mr. Brown at 7th and T Streets, NW for the street sign unveiling.  He will meet and greet fans so take your camera.  The celebration will also include dance lessons, DJ's, food vendors, radio personalities, and a moon-bounce for the kids.

The party will continue later that evening at the 9:30 Club with a performance by Brown at his "Official Birthday Party."
