Some iPhone apps are fun to use.  I bought a few apps for my iPhone just to see what they can do and some of them are pretty cool.  You have to really play around with them to see what they can do, and the free ones make that easy to do.  If you don’t like them or don’t think you will use them, they can be easily deleted.

Zillow is a free app that tells you what the houses in your neighborhood or around the country are worth, the price of the most recent sale, what the property taxes are, and what the satellite photo of that house looks like, and a bunch of other stuff that will amaze you.  If a house is for sale, then it includes photos, the asking price and what Zillow thinks the house is worth.  It’s pretty cool.

I bought some old video games like Ms. Pac Man and Tetris.  Tetris is a Russian puzzle Nintendo video game that’s been around since the 80s.  It’s fun and obsessive.  When I first started playing these games on my iPhone, I had a hard time getting beyond the first level.  Learning to use a totally different “joy stick” control is a little complicated, but it amazes me how quickly my mind adapts to the change and I pick it up quickly.  Some of these games seem to open up parts of the mind that rarely get used.

Sally’s Spa is a popular game on iTunes and there is a free “lite” version and a full version for sale.  This game allows you to run your own spa and gives points for the add-on services suggested and used at the spa.  I know it's totally girly, but it's been in the top 25 on iTunes for awhile...so they must be doing something right.  The lite versions are usually a partial version to see if you like it, and then you can purchase the full game version of a game.
