Consuming spicy foods combined with aerobic type exercises, will surely get you into that "summertime" look or at least keep your body fit.
Today's recipe is actually called "MJM's Everyday Seasoning", because it is used in place of just Salt and Pepper. It is great in your scrambled eggs, on vegetables, on meats, chicken, seafood... it can be used in marinades and in rubs. The list is endless, that is why it is an "Everyday Seasoning".
Be careful when working with hot sauces and / or hot peppers. Wear gloves if possible and remove them before doing anything else. Wash your hands no matter what. Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose or other "sensitive" parts of your body, if you know what I mean, Vern! Even though this spice cannot do any real physical harm, it will be quite uncomfortable for a while. "MJM Everyday Seasoning"
Equal parts of:
Black pepper
Cayenne pepper
White pepper
Paprika (get a nice smoked paprika)
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Italian herb blend (thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, Marjoram)
Salt (Kosher, preferably)
Blend together in a coffee mill (used just for spices) or your food processor. Store in recycled spice containers or little baggies or tupperware containers.
Experiment... next time you make some eggs... sprinkle some on. Blacken some meats or fish with this mix. Spice up your salads, veggies and soups. Have fun... you will be the "Spice of the party".
