Summer, 2009 features several books on film, and summer is always a good time to go to the movies. The preview calendar below shows that book lovers will have plenty of film adaptations to whet their appetites for film-to-book comparisons.
The calendar lists books on film appearing in theaters in June, July, and August, 2009. Click on the film title for more information.
Why not use an upcoming film as a good excuse to read the book you're unfamiliar with first? Then you can be the expert in your family or group of friends who goes to the movie and can authoritatively compare it favorably, or unfavorably, to the original novel, auto/biography, memoir, or narrative non-fiction.
Not a bad project for summertime fun? (Books travel well to the beach or pool, you know, and movie theaters are usually *cool*!)
