The end of summer is here and it’s season premiere week on The CW. On Tuesday night the sexiest zip code and address on television returns as “90210” starts it second season and the sexy remake of “Melrose Place” premieres on The CW. Wednesday is the two hour premier of “America’s Next Top Model” as the show returns with a new group of model wannabes. Thursday another vampire show hits the airwaves. Paul Wesley ("Wolf Lake") and Ian Somerhalder (“Lost”) star in The CW’s new series "The Vampire Diaries." The Winchester brothers continue fighting evil in the fifth season premiere of “Supernatural.”

“90210” starts its second season minus some cast members. The show will focus much like the original series, more on the relationships of the kids at West Beverly High. Some of the most notable changes to the cast; the absence of anti-grandmother Tabitha, played by Jessica Walter. We will also see less of parental units Harry and Debbie Wilson played by Rob Estes and Lori Loughlin. Also gone is W. Beverly’s resident pretty boy, Ethan played by Dustin Milligan.
“Melrose Place,” originally a spin off to Aaron Spelling’s “Beverly Hills 90210” is brought back to the small screen after 10 years. There are a lot of changes, but some familiar faces will return. Thomas Calabro reprises his role as Dr. Michael Mancini and Laura Leighton also returns as the former temptress Sydney Andrews. The residents 4616 Melrose Place have seen many things and tonight will be just one in a long line criminal and less than acceptable behavior. Tonight a murder will be committed and no one is above suspicion.
The new cast includes some faces that may be familiar. Singer, actress and little sister of Jessica, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz plays Violet Foster, a naive and mysterious young woman. Viewers may remember Jessica Lucas from “90210,” she also appeared in the 2008 film “Cloverfield”. Lucas plays school teacher Riley Richmond. Colin Egglesfield plays sous chef Auggie Kirkpatrick a recovering alcoholic. Egglesfield was last seen on TV as Susan Lucci’s on screen son Josh Madden on ABC’s “All My Children.”
The second season of “90210” airs at tonight 8 p.m. on The CW followed by the series premiere of “Melrose Place” at 9 p.m. Check your local listings for specific channel details.
