Thursday night was the season finale of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. The episode tied up the season’s loose ends. It explained a lot of the things I reported on over the summer, Lisa and Ed’s downsizing and NeNe and Kim’s altercation in Midtown Atlanta. Sheree Whitfield finally produced a fashion show with fashions. The show was held at one of my favorite hotels, The W at Perimeter. Unofficial sixth housewife Dwight Eubanks produced an elegant and glamorous show for Sheree.
Throughout the finale Andy Cohen promoted his live midnight chat fest “Watch What Happens Live”. At the end of “RHOA” we saw that Sheree Whitfield was in studio to talk about her clothing line and the night’s finale. So imagine the surprise of viewers that tuned in to find a rebroadcast with Mathew Broderick as the guest.
According to Cohen’s blog on Bravotv.com, the network experienced major technical difficulties that resulted in the control room crashing at 11:58 p.m. I image a scene similar to that of the movie “Broadcast News” where a production assistant races to get a tape in to the control room for air. While it probably wasn’t as dramatic, the entire east coast missed out on the live show. Andy Cohen described the show as a “black tie She by Sheree celebration!” On Sheree’s twitter page she wrote:
I'm so disappointed abt "Watch what happens" not airing bcuz of the difficulties! I think it will b on the site! Thx 4 all of the comments!
Bravo has scheduled the show for rebroadcast at the following times.
12:30 p.m. on Saturday 10/24
11:30 a.m. on Sunday 10/25
Noon Wednesday 10/28
12:30 a.m. Friday 10/30 following the week’s live episode
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion episode is scheduled for this Thursday October 29. After everything that has occurred this season, it’s a must watch for “Housewives” fans.
