As some of you may know, I decided to join the online dating site OKCupid. After a failed date, I responded to people on it less and less. But, a few weeks ago, I came across someone on it who I was immediately interested in. You see, I enjoy swing dancing and the nostalgia that comes with it, and this man loves the 1940's and 1950's. He wears suits, fedoras and saddle shoes to work. He uses the words "swell,", "neat", and "lousy."

Luckily, he was interested in me too. In fact, he called me "criminally adorable." We exchanged several long emails, and in each one, he used impeccable grammar and wit. Suddenly, he disappeared and stopped emailing. I was losing hope, when I decided to instant message him the other day on OKCupid. We started talking again, and we even exchanged numbers.

I'm scared to meet him because there is a very big chance I won't like him in person. I'm normal--I have to be attracted to someone to date them! What if he isn't good looking? What if his very cool job for a large NYC newspaper isn't enough?

I'd like to take him to Frim Fram, if we meet and keep dating. Each Thursday, lots of swing dancers, amateurs and professionals, go to a dance studio up on...30something Street, and dance. It's only 8 dollars!
